can you study in your own time or does it have to be four days in a row?

It doesn't have to be 4 days in a row but you have to attend all four days to achieve the qualification. We are running courses every fortnight and will also soon be running courses on weekends too so we are flexible. We look forward to assisting you further.

How will I be assessed after completing the course and what if I am weak in writing English?

You will be assessed on the final day and the assessment is multiple choice questions answered electronically on your chosen device, you do not have to write anything all questions are a, b, c or d. if we can be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Dear Karina, The only person that will monitor you remotely would be the invigilator and that is only to ensure exam conditions are maintained, nobody else will be there and it is all done in the comfort of your own home via video link.

Dear Jose, Once you you receive your results on the final day your information will be uploaded to the national database once this has been completed you will be able to apply for your licence. All of this information will be given to you during your course and you will also have access to our administration team to assist you with this.

If you would like a door supervision license, you will have to book our door Supervision which is 5 days With 3 days online and 2 days at our classroom in Gravesend.

Good Evening, The training times will be 08th 09th 10th Feb 08:30 - 17:30 with 1 hour for lunch and mini breaks for tea/coffee .... 11th Feb is your day for the exams and required 2.5 hours and these are normally allocated mid day, allowing you time to revise. Results and Certification we must allow 7 - 10 working Days but the awarding Organisations and the SIA have been turning them around within this time scale. I hope this helps

Hi Michael, The course is delivered over a three day period, however the dates fall on the weekend since it a weekend course, except for the examinations which usually fall on a week day.

Also, you will be required to sit through all classes (maximum of 23 Guided Learning Hours) for you get your certificate.

How long it takes to get the results and how long it take to get the badges after completing the course.

These are both great questions, and we will be happy to answer them. The results are available upon the completion of the assessment and the certificates are available 7-10 working day after completion. These certificates will then be uploaded to the SIA website so that you can apply for your licence that should take 3-5 weeks to become available.

Dear Sir, That will not be possible. We have to stick to the guided learning hours, therefore you will need to be in attendance for the whole course. The good news is if you cannot commit to all 4 days of one week we can spread the days between courses as long as you are in attendance for every day over the term. Does this course cover Door Security as apparently if i take the training for Door security this covers most aspects of employment.

Hi Can I work as club security with this license or as security for public events?

A Security Officers license will only permit you to work as security for public events. A Door Supervisors License is required should you wish to work as club security. Please also note that holding a Door Supervisors License will actually allow you to work under both of the mentioned job descriptions as the Doorman training covers the same content as Security officer training and a bit more.

With effect from the 1st of April 2021, the SIA have implemented changes to the Security Officers course structure that has changed from being delivered fully online to a blended delivery of 3 days online and 1 day in the classroom to complete the qualification. Hello, Unfortunately, as of the the 1st of April, 2021 the SIA has made it mandatory that an in classroom element be delivered during this course. As a result, we cannot legally run completely online courses for this qualification for the foreseeable fututre

Hello, You can attend this course from anywhere in the world. However, in order to get your SIA License,you will need to have a UK address. This means that you will have to possess to documents that prove you have a residence in the UK.

Hi are there different security qualifications, will this allow me to do security on a door and on a site ?

Hello, This course does not give you the door supervision qualification. However, Please note that we also offer the Door Supervision course as well. Note that the only major difference between door supervision and security guarding is that with Door Supervision qualification you are allowed to work at licensed venues(places like pubs and clubs, that sell alcohol), while with a secuirty Guarding qualification you are not allowed to work at those places.

Good Morning Sean, Since the course is a weekend course, the classes will run on Saturdays and Sundays with the exception of the examinations which are done during the week. The final day for this course will be on the 16th, which will be your examinations.

Dear Rob he course runs Saturday and Sunday and then the following Saturday. The exam has to be during the week so it normally is the following Tuesday but it can be changed if inconvenient and that will only be for 2 1/2 hours. This is part of the Get Qualified at Home line of courses and it's completely online-based and very interactive. This option is perfect considering the current T5 lockdown.

Hi Curtis, we are conscious that persons have very hectic schedules. We would allow you to do two days on one and two on the following week in order for you to complete a course with us. Our online learning experience allows us to fragment our courses so that we can cater to differing schedules.

Hi Aediou, This is a great question. Once you have successfully completed this course you will receive your e-certificate via email and this will also be uploaded to the SIA Database. You can then apply for your licence.

Good Day Leroy, You can be allowed to take the course from Afghanistan Kabul provided that you currently hold a valid UK passport and can provide two forms of proof of your UK address details valid within the last three months. There are strict contact hour guidelines set by our accreditation agency for the Security Guard /Officer's course so you would need to be in class for four consecutive days. If you apply for an SIA licence with the TFS certificate after it will only be valid in the UK.

Hello Nathan, Nice to hear from you again. Each course would require a concentrated amount of your attention so we do not recommend doing both at the same time. This is because the course dates for the CCTV (PSS) course and the Security Guarding course tend to overlap due to the fact that at least one of each course is run every week. What we recommend is that you book a combined CCTV (PSS) and Security Guarding course package but request a course period for each course that won't clash.

The courses are refundable. To answer your second question, yes you are eligible for the course, considering that you have UK documentation. You will just need to send us documents verifies your identity and your address after you have purchased the course to complete the registration process.

It is important to note that once you qualify to apply for your SIA Security Guarding Licence by gaining our certificate you will be eligible to move on to our Door Supervision course. Our courses are scheduled months in advance to all potential learners to have convenient times both on weekend and weekdays. This allows learners to have a wide scope of dates to select from. To answer your question, you will be allowed to choose a start date from the course dates available.

Our next Security Guarding Course is 28th Sep - 1st October 2020. This course is fully online and you will need a smartphone and a laptop. You will be in a virtual classroom and you will receive link, modules and all supporting information to complete the electronic exam.

Morning Lord, The cost does not include the Licence, once you have successfully completed the course, you will be able to apply for your licence from the SIA £195.00 direct to them. The courses run on the first 3 days 0900-1730 and the 4th day is for your exams which would be approximately 3 hours.

Hi Mark, You get your results immediately when you take the exam on the final day. It takes between 25 hours to 7 working days before the awarding organisation uploads your details to the national birthday and then you are ok to apply for your licence which can take between 3 - 6 weeks.
